Port Blair, June 1: As part of its COVID 19 Initiative, RFA has distributed handmade cotton masks across various sections of the society. Masks were provided to frontline workers like all Anganwadis workers of Port Blair and Ferrargunj Tehsil, staff of AAJVS who work for protection of tribals, to Councilors of various wards for the sanitary workers of their wards, to all children and staff of Child Care Institutions of South Andaman and residents of the state run Old Age Home.

The NGO by partnering with INS Baaz also reached out to the residents of the far-flung Campbellbay Islands with these masks. These masks were made by wives who knew stictching and whose husbands are contractual laborers and had no income for many weeks due to lock down.

Thus true to its ideology and mission  of providing Respect,Identity and Dignity to individuals, RFA not only did its bit to help and reach out during this crisis but by engaging these women , the NGO helped them earn income, thus  supporting several families through these tough times.

Though the massive Mask Distribution activity through the COVID 19 initiative has been completed, but Rights For All is committed that till the time the pandemic stays , their efforts to fight it will only continue to get stronger.
