Port Blair, June 24: On 17th June 2020 at about 10 AM, a workshop-cum-training & awareness programme for #Aatmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyaan was organized by the District Unit of BJP (A&N Islands), Rangat at Community Hall, Bakultala, North & Middle Andaman District.

Under the guidance of State President Shri. Ajoy Bairagi, the Incharge as well as Co-Incharges of the Aatmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyaan, Smti. Sheela Singh and Shri. K. Ram Das with the active logistical support of District unit of BJP, Rangat had arranged the programme to share their respective views with regard to the recently announced Aatmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyaan. The following trainees of the third workshop acted as resource persons presented their views:-

Shri. Vishal Jolly, Former State President, A & N Islands gave Marg Darshan. 2. Shri. Joytirmay Bawali, State General Secretary, A & N Islands on Aatmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyaan. Shri. K. Ram Das, State General Secretary, BJP, A & N Islands spoke about the MSME and Bank Schemes. Shri. Mohan Halder, State Secretary, BJP –A & N Islands spoke on Agriculture, Animal Husbandary, Fisheries and NABARD.

Around 20 Elected Representatives such as Pradhans , Zilla, Samiti, and District office bearers and other BJP office bearers and Karyakartas participated in the workshop and they were informed about vital aspects of the Aatmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyaan and its features & relevance in so far as the A & N Islands are concerned.

Thereafter on 18th June at about 10 AM, a similar workshop-cum-training & awareness programme for #Aatmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyaan was organized by the District unit of BJP Mayabunder at Panchayat Community Hall, Pahalgaon, North & Middle Andaman District.

Around 20 Elected Representatives such as Pradhans , Zilla, Samiti, and District office bearers and other BJP office bearers and Karyakartas participated in the workshop and informed about vital aspects of the Aatmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyaan and its features & relevance in so far as the A & N Islands are concerned.

Several identical/similar programmes would be organized at every District, Panchayat, Wards, Mandal and Booth levels in order to ensure maximum reach to the public at large.

The programme was followed by an interactive session. This being the fourth programme and also considering the prevailing pandemic situation, large gathering could not be arranged. However, the programme was arranged by strictly following all the norms, guidelines and protocols of COVID-19, as directed by the Govt. of India and the A & N Administration.
