Port Blair, June 26: The Chairperson, Port Blair Municipal Council, Shri. N.K. Udhaya Kumar inaugurated the newly constructed Community Hall at Nayagaon Ward No-12 in the presence of Shri. Suneel Anchipaka, IAS Secretary, PBMC and Shri. S.N.N. Gregory Councillor Ward No-12 on 25th June 2020.
The Community hall constructed is having multi facilities such as spacious banquet hall, dining room, kitchen, rain water harvesting system with sound aesthetic view.
At the outset the Ward Councillor, Shri. S.N.N. Gregory welcomed all the dignitaries.
While addressing the gathering Shri. N.K. Udhaya Kumar stated that the long pending demand of the local populace of the area for construction of a Community hall has been fulfilled. The Civic Chief further stated that despite of all odds the Council is striving hard to provide all basic amenities to the city dwellers and further requested the local residents to keep the Community Hall neat and clean. The Council at present has taken up the task of renovating / redesigning of Community Halls and the works of the same are emerging fast. Shri. S.N.N. Gregory while addressing the gathering thanked the Secretary, PBMC Shri. Suneel Anchipaka, IAS and officials for their valuable suggestions and support. Councillors of various Wards of the Council were also present on the occasion.
