“To ensure that the Tribal Islands remain free from Corona, I would like to appeal to the concerned authorities in the A&N Administration to prohibit movement of teachers, their dependents and other non-tribal from Port Blair to Tribal Dominated Islands. In order to continue the education, the Administration may come up with a suitable solution like digital and online classes, which can be commenced after operationalization of Undersea Optical Fibre project. This will ensure that no infection of COVID19 virus reaches the Tribal Community”, he said.

The ABAVP, State President also said that teachers may be allowed in the tribal islands only when regular schools are opened.
