Port Blair, July 17: The Member of Parliament, A&N Islands, Shri Kuldeep Rai Sharma has requested the Chief Secretary, A&N Administration to consider for re-engagement of Part Time Pre-Primary Teachers, Craft Instructors, Attendants and Ayas since the schools have re-opened after summer vacation w.e.f. 17th July, 2020.
He informed that altogether 744 Part Time employees i.e. Pre-Primary Teachers, Craft Instructors, Attendants and Ayas are working at different schools across A&N Islands since many years ranging from 15 years to 20 years at a stretch who have been paid consolidated salary during engagement. Their engagement period for the academic session of 2019-2020 was over on 16th May 2020.
Therefore in view of reopening of schools after summer vacation on 17.07.2020, the MP requested the Chief Secretary to re-engage all these 744 Part Time employees for the academic session of 2020-2021 for their livelihood.
