Port Blair, Sept. 15: In addition to the 13 schools, the Member of Parliament, Shri Kuldeep Rai Sharma felicitated 12 (twelve) more schools in South Andaman District by presenting a certificate of appreciation to the Principals, Teachers and Students for achieving 100% result for Class X and XII in the CBSE Board Exams 2020. The MP expressed his sincere gratitude to the teaching faculty for the benevolent services rendered by them for betterment of the students who are futures of A&N Islands and nation as well. The 12 schools include:

1. Vitala Public School, Panighat

2. Govt. Senior Secondary School, Bambooflat

3. St. Xavier School, Mannarghat

4. Muslim Education Society School, Stewartgunj

5. Cresent Public School, Bambooflat

6. Nirmala Senior Secondary School, Port Blair

7. Sagaritara School, Port Blair

8. St. Mary’s School, BathuBasthi

9. Kamraj English Medium School, Brookshabad

10. Vivekananda Kendra Nagarapalika Vidyalaya, Ranchi Basthi, Port Blair.

11. Govt. Senior Secondary School, Rangachang

12. Govt. Senor Secondary School, Prothrapur.

The Member of Parliament while presenting letter of appreciation to the above said 12 schools, appreciated the sincerity, efforts and dedication of the Principals and Teachers for making it possible to achieve 100% results in these schools which are primarily attended by the students belonging to economically weaker section of the society.

The MP laid emphasis on making the students aware of various geographical, environmental, ecological and historical aspects of the Andaman & Nicobar Islands and advocated for introducing a refresher course in the school namely “Know your Islands”.
