Port Blair, Sept. 22: The District Administration shall henceforth publish the seat numbers of passengers who arrive from mainland through flights and are tested COVID positive. The given information would be helpful to the accompanying passengers of the same flight for taking necessary precautions and strict self-isolation measures to contain the spread of the infection.
The details of three passengers who were tested COVID positive in the Indigo Flight No. 6E-282 (CCU-IXZ) on 22nd Sept. 2020 is as under:
1. Seat Number of Positive Passenger: 8F
2. Seat Number of Positive Passenger: 27A
3. Seat Number of Positive Passenger: 30A
The passengers who were seated in close vicinity to the above passengers and also the passengers who are seated in the front and back rows of these seats in the flight are being advised/ requested to stay in self isolation and in case of any symptoms like fever, cough, breathing difficulty, Influenza Like Illness (ILI), Severe Acute Respiratory Infections (SARI), the same may be notified at the Helpline Number 1070/102.
The district administration will contact the above passengers over phone and through field staffs and closely monitor their health status on regular basis, said the DC South Andaman, Shri Suneel Anchipaka.
