Shaheed Dweep, Oct. 18: In a shocking incident reported at Shaheed Dweep today afternoon, a son attempted to murder his 65 year old father over minor property dispute. According to reports gathered, the incident took place in the afternoon hours, at Bharatpur Road, Neil Kendra when the son had used a spade to kill his father.

The victim had suffered grievous injuries on his head and was shifted to the Primary Health Centre. Acting upon, the team of PS Shaheed Dweep led by Inspector Shabana Haneef investigated the matter and arrested the accused along with the weapon used for committing the crime.

The victim is being referred to GB Pant Hospital, Port Blair tomorrow.
