Port Blair, Jan 15: District Child Protection Unit (SA) under the Chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner initiated English Spoken Classes for the children of Balika Niketan at Attam Pahar in Collaboration with Port Blair Guru Ki Rasoi (NGO) and Guru Nanak College, Chennai.

The program was inaugurated by the Deputy Commissioner, South Andaman Shri Suneel Anchipaka, at Balikaniketan at Attam Pahad on 15th Jan.  2021.

DCPO Smti. Meghna Pal Gobind welcomed the Chief Guest and the gathering and informed about the purpose of the program.

Shri. Mandeep Grewal, President Port Blair Guru Ki Rasoi (NGO) and Ms Sukhdeep Sondhi elaborated on the Session Module to be implemented through the program.

Shri Suneel Anchipaka, Deputy Commissioner, South Andaman and Chief Guest of the program enlightened the importance of the communication skills to compete in this present world. He motivated the children to inculcate reading habits and communicating with each other in English in order to build confidence. He motivated the children to make excellence a habit / culture and always try to improve ourselves. His address was concluded with the motivating words ‘We are what, we do repeatedly’.

The program culminated with a vote of thanks proposed by Smti. Uma Devi, In Charge, Balika Niketan.
