Port Blair, Feb 22: Andaman Sangeet Academy (ASA) Junglighat, Port Blair celebrated the “23rd International Mother Language Day” on 21st February 2021 Sunday. The programme has been arranged Kusumkamini Awas, Garacharma, Port Blair at 5.30pm. Shri Tapas Kumar Das, President of Academy was the Chief Guest and Shri S. K. Singh, Retired Principal, Education Department, A&N Administration, Port Blair was chief speaker in this cultural programme.

The Function was inaugurated with the floral tribute on the photo of Bhasha Sahid Smarak Mancha by the Gathering. Smti. Namita Home Chowdhury, member of ASA welcomed the gathering.

The members of Andaman Sangeet Academy (ASA) Smti. Namita Home Chowdhury, Smti. Rekha Rani Dhar and Smti. Supriya Dutta presented an inaugural song ‘Aamar Bhaiyer Rakte Rangano 21 Shee February’. After that one by one music teacher, students and lovers presented solo song, group song, and poem. Audience was mesmerized of the speech by the Chief Guest Shri Tapas Kumar Das and Chief Speaker Shri. S. K. Singh.

The programme was concluded with the vote of thanks by Shri Soumen Home Chowdhury, the General Secretary of Andaman Sangeet Academy (ASA), Junglighat, Port Blair.
