Port Blair, March 2: The District Child Protection Unit (SA) under District Administration conducted a workshop on Colour Therapy at Bethany Children Home.

The aim of this workshop was to impart knowledge about colour association like every colour has its own effect and symbolization and children are more sensitive to the colours and they can easily express their suppress feelings and emotions through colour therapy.

The Protection Officer (Institutional Care) started the workshop with the colour activity, in this children projected their emotions and hidden feelings and reactions through the colours therapy. Projection of feeling through colours would help children to take out their negative emotions and conflicts in day to day life. Further she explained the significance of colour in our life and how colours directly affect our brain functions.

Altogether 44 children actively participated in the workshop and enjoyed the therapy. The District Administration ensures to conduct such workshops to enhance the emotional quotient of the children as well as make them emotionally stable.
