Port Blair, June 15: On the occasion of World Blood Donor Day, Yuva Bharat Samaj Seva Charitable Trust had organized a voluntary Blood Donation Camp at Blood Bank at G.B. Pant Hospital in association with Andaman & Nicobar AIDS Control Society (ANACS). The camp was organized under the leadership of Dr. Kodand Ram, Chief Medical officer, Blood Bank, G.B. Pant Hospital and Dr. M. Joy, Project Director, A&N AIDS Control Society.

The main objective of the camp was to provide blood to needy people who can’t afford life-saving blood for themselves or their family members because of the on-going pandemic.

A total of 31 donors donated voluntarily. After donating the blood, the donors' were honoured with credentials by our trust. Refreshment were also given to them by ANACS. This camp not only created awareness among the volunteers but also inculcated societal responsibilities.
