For many years I worked as a salesman in my fathers company. There were times when I nearly made a sale but the customer would say that he would call me the next day and confirm the order. I would come back quite excited and tell dad I had nearly finalized an order.

“When will we know Bob?” he would ask.

The weather’s getting colder, the air is getting dryer and the sweaters are getting thicker.

Cold, harsh winter not only impacts your immunity system, but also your  hair and skin.

Sometimes  you may buy a dozen creams, lotions or  moisturizers  but  your skin always looks lifeless and dull.  Your skin is susceptible to the frigid climate that causes inflammation, redness and dryness, among many other common symptoms during winters .

So, what can you do to protect your skin despite dropping temperatures?

In the good old days when public speaking was an art, many enrolled in classes to learn how to have confidence in themselves, how to convince people and thereby control a situation, which were known as the three Cs of public speaking.

Cicero, in his Roman toga, used deft hand movements to emphasis a point, which if done today would look ludicrous. Schools, later decided to freeze the hand by telling students to place them behind, so all concentration by the audience would be on the little speaker, on his or her speech and not to be distracted by a wild arm flying and flaying around.

How often before finding out more about the quality of a product, we go in for something cheaper based on the price and regret later. Thus, came this imaginary experience of a cheap car:

“Our engineers burned the midnight oil to produce this car,” said the MD as he showed me into his factory in the outskirts of the city.

“And this car will cost less than a lakh?” I asked.

If there was some mechanism that could amplify all cell phone conversations taking place at once, the sound produced would be louder than an earthquake or bomb blast, a rumble worse than a giant drill tearing into a concrete road! Once upon a time we saw people walking around in silence, stopping to wish or converse only when they met someone, but now, chatting doesn't cease.
