Port Blair, Dec. 5: A remote village namely Jagannath Dera in North Andaman has been provided with round the clock power supply with effect from 26.11.2011 by extending three kilometers of Ariel Bunched Cables and 4.4 Kms of 11 KV overhead lines from the main grid. One 40 KVA distribution transformer is also commissioned for providing electric connections to cover the entire population of the village. As on date 41 consumers are getting round the clock power supply.

Earlier, there was only limited hours power supply through a small DG power house.
