Port Blair, Dec. 4: The President BJP, Shri. R. Mohan has requested the Chief Secretary, A&N Administration to increase the timing of Central Teacher Eligibility Test from 1.30 Hrs. to 3 Hrs. The President said that more than 1000 Graduate Students appeared for CTET which was held at Port Blair 18th Nov. 2012.  The Students were depressed to notice 48 page question paper which had 150 questions to be answered in 1.30 Hrs. As such most of the candidates could not complete the paper.

Mohan said that in Tamil Nadu the govt. has fixed 3 hours for the Exam due to the poor result and the request from the parents and the result was two times better.

He thus requested the CS to consider the problems faced by the island CTET students and increase it to 3 hrs. which would be justified for the islands’ candidates.
