Port Blair, Feb 22: Under the Student Exchange Programme of Union Ministry of Human Resources Development, Government of India, first batch of 40 students and 5 officials from Jammu & Kashmir reached Port Blair for educational tour outside Jammu & Kashmir.  The tour gives a chance to the students of Jammu & Kashmir to interact with the students of Andaman & Nicobar Islands, understand the educational system of these Islands and the interest of students in teaching-learning process is enhanced.  They also got an opportunity to know about the culture of these Islands.

The Andaman Chamber of Commerce & Industry welcomed the students and arranged a tour to Havelock by Makruzz.  On reaching Havelock they visited Radha Nagar beach and also experienced Scuba Diving at Nemo Reef which was arranged by Andaman Island Scuba Diving Association of Havelock.  All logistics and transportation was provided by M/s Andaman Connections.   The students returned back to Port Blair after enjoying a lunch at Sea Shell. The students expressed their happiness in visiting these Islands which enriched them with the culture prevailing in these Islands and cherished the scenic beauty of these Islands.

The Chamber is very heartening to know that 10,000/- students from Jammu & Kashmir shall make such visits to different States of the Country. The Chamber wishes them all success in this endeavour and believes that the students will definitely get an opportunity to know about the culture of various States of the Country.
