Port Blair, Feb 25: The Sant Nirankari Mission celebrated the 64th Birth Anniversary of the then Satguru Baba Hardev Singh Ji’s as Guru Puja Divas on 24th Feb 2018 by conducting Cleanliness Drive throughout the country. Around 564 Govt. Hospitals were chosen for cleaning over 250 cities of India.

The Swachhta Abiyaan is being done under the banner of Sant Nirankari Charitable Foundaton, Delhi. In continuation of this day, the Junglighat Branch, Port Blair has taken up Cleanliness Drive “SWACHHTA ABHIYAAN” at G.B. Pant Hospital Port Blair on 24th Feb. 2018 from 8.00 am to 12.00 noon. A simple function was held in the premises of G.B. Pant Hospital in the presence of “Padma Shree” Shri Naresh Chandra Lall, Brand Ambassador of Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan of Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Director of Health Shri. S.P. Burma, and other officials also present.

Speaking on the occasion, Naresh Chandra Lall highlighted the quotation of Hon’ble Prime Minister of India “Sankalp Se Siddhi”, the vision of Clean India. He also said that the cleanliness drive is not for a particular day but has to be continuous in habit. He added the volunteers of Nirankari Mission discharge their duties towards society following the discipline manner of the mission.

On the occasion Dr. Burma lauded the importance of Swachhta in our surroundings, he also pointed out that compost wastes produced by us not by the nature.  He said that it is our responsibility to keep clean our surrounding.

All the dignitaries appreciated the step of selfness of SEWA rendering towards society by the Sant Nirankari Mission. The function was concluded with vote thanks by Incharge, Sant Nirankari Mandal, Port Blair.
