Port Blair, Jan. 11: The PCC President, Kuldeep Rai Sharma and other senior leaders lead a ‘Padyatra of National Students Union of India’ from Swamy Vivekananda’s statue to Tiranga Park as a mark of respect to this great Indian monk on his 150th birthday, which falls on 12th January. 

In the morning at 8 AM, the leaders of the Party and the students paid floral tribute to the statue of Swamy.   Reaching Tiranga Park, the participants of the rally (Padyatra) prepared themselves for blood donation, duly arranged by the GB Pant Hospital under the supervision of Dr Navin, Dy. Director.

Speaking on the occasion, Sharma told the students that Swamyjii always respect for youth force, which can bring developments and prospects for their country and time has come when the youth force should be united for good and conquer over evils.

He also said that by donating our blood, we help someone to get a new life so we should not hesitate for such donation. We should keep in our mind that by helping selflessly to others, we are not helping the concerned person, but helping ourselves, he added.
