Port Blair, May 6: A burglary case of Office furniture & other articles from Agriculture Tourism Farm, Flat Bay, Chouldari has been worked out and busted within 12 hours by the team of Police Station Ograbraj leading to arrest of one accused person alongwith full recovery of stolen articles.

On 04/05/2020, on receipt of complaint from Shri. Ritik Baroi S/o Shri. Mritunjoy Baroi (39)yrs, Agriculture Field Assistant, Flat Bay Farm, Chouldari at PS Ograbraj regarding theft of Office furniture kept at Agriculture Tourism Farm, Flat Bay, Chouldari. On the information, instant case was registered under the legal provision of IPC & DM Act and a team comprising HC/Anand Prakash Lakra alongwith PC’s Shiva Kumar, Bikash Sen, Pabitro Bepari & Apurba Biswas under the supervision of SI V.K Maurya, SHO PS Ograbraj swung into action in search of the accused and stolen properties. During the course of interrogation of suspected persons namely M. Karthick S/o Shri K. Malaikannan 35 (yrs.) Private Driver, R/o Lal Pahad, Chouldari has confessed his guilt and arrest was made. Further on his production, all stolen properties were recovered & seized by the police team. Thereafter, the accused person was produced before the Hon’ble Court of CJM, Port Blair.

Thus, the PS staff succeeded in solving a burglary case within recorded time, due to their persistent efforts under Shri. Manoj Kr. Meena, SDPO (Bambooflat) and under the overall supervision & direction of Shri Manoj C., IPS, Superintendent of Police, South Andaman District.
