Port Blair, May 27: Along with other parts of the Country, the Pradesh Congress Committee also observed the 49^th death Anniversary of the first and former Prime Minister of India Pdt. Jawaharlal Nehru. At the outset the Vice President Hamid Ali garlanded the portrait of the great Indian leader and spoke about his noble deeds for the betterment of India for which he is also known as founder of modern India. Floral tribute was also paid by the leaders and members of PCC, DCC, City Congress, Mahila Congress, Seva Dal, Youth Congress and INTUC. The death anniversary of this leader who was also a great writer and historian, also observed by the Party leaders in other parts of islands also.
