Port Blair, May 31: All India Radio, Port Blair is completing 50 years of service to the Islanders on 2nd June 2013. The AIR, Port Blair started its transmission on this day in 1963.
To commemorate this occasion AIR, Port Blair will broadcast special programmes on 02.06.2013 starting with a News commentary at 7.20 am followed by a special programme at 7.25 am onwards. From 2nd June a new weekly programme “Wo Yaden” involving recordings from the archives of AIR, Port Blair will be broadcast at 9.10 am.
The first episode will include reminiscences of Bishop John Richardson, Master Kesar Dasji and Shri. Amir Mohammed.
