Port Blair, June 13: The unemployed youth of these islands who have passed 8th standard and not completed 28 years of age as on 01.07.2013 can apply for 8 weeks training on Food Production (Catering) and 6 weeks training on Food & Beverage (Restaurant service) at National Institute of Tourism Hospitality Management (NITHM), Hyderabad. This training is on free of cost and stipend will be given to the trainees. The hostel facilities will be arranged by NITHM on nominal charges and the expenditure of Breakfast, Dinner and Hostel charges may be adjusted from the stipend.

This year onwards the transportation charge from Port Blair to Hyderabad and back will be reimbursed by the Directorate of Tourism to the candidates who successfully completed the course and their performance and attendance will be taken into consideration for sanction of reimbursement.
