Port Blair, July 10: The Member of Parliament, Shri. Bishnu Pada Ray today laid foundation stones for six new public utility works in South Andaman area. He was accompanied by the State President BJP Shri Vishal Jolly, State Vice President BJP Smti Rupa Ray among other leaders, PRI members and general public.

Huge receptions were accorded by public at all places and paid gratitude to the MP for agreeing to sanction money from MPLAD fund.

The works for which the foundation stones were laid are as under:

1. Construction of Community hall at Hobdipur Ward No.I under Tushnabad Panchayat, Ferrargunj Tehsil, Sanctioned Estimate Cost- Rs. 49,58,000.00, Location- Hobdipur, South Andaman.

2. Construction of Anganwadi Centre, under Brindaban Panchayat, Ward No. III, Saitankhari. Sanctioned Estimate Cost: Rs. 27,00,000.00, Location- Brindaban, South Andaman.

3. Construction of RCC shed for graveyard at Muslim Basti under Ograbraj Panchayat. Sanctioned Estimate Cost- Rs 18,99,623.00, Location Muslim Basti, Ograbraj, South Andaman.

4. Construction of Anganwadi Centre, under Ferrrgunj Panchayat, Tanky basti, Ward No.I. Sanctioned Estimate Cost: Rs. 18,62,171.00, Location- Ferrargunj, south Andaman.

5. Construction of Community Hall at Chouldari in Ferrargunj Tehsil. Sanctioned Estimate Cost:- Rs. 83,64,000.00, Location: Chouldari, South Andaman.

6. Construction of Boundary Wall and Footpath at Phoenix Bay Muslim Graveyard at Kendriya Vidyalaya and Carmel School under MPLADS. Sanctioned Amount -Rs. 33,52,900.00, Location- Phoenix Bay, Port Blair.

Shri Ray also inaugurated the Christian Graveyard at Mithakhari, Ward No II under Ograbraj Panchayat, South Andaman constructed under MPLAD sanctioned Amount of Rs. 6,26,246.00 and also  Installed Aqua guard with cooler and pipeline for drinking water to staff of Govt Press at Port Blair under MPLAD sanctioned Amount  of Rs. 3,75,000.00.
