Port Blair, July 16: The Department of Art and Culture in association with Department of Tourism, A&N Administration shall be deputing a Cultural Contingent from the Islands to New Delhi in November 2013 to perform during India International Trade Fair. The Department of Art and Culture is planning to prepare a theme based programme focusing on the history and composite culture of the islands.
In this context, applications are invited from the Cultural associations/ choreographers for participating in the programme by presenting innovative theme based programmes relating to history and composite culture of the islands in folk, classical, ballet, plays or any other acceptable form.
The duration of the programme should be within five to thirty minutes depending upon the type of presentation. Interested Cultural organizations/choreographers may apply to the Director, Directorate of Art & Culture, A&N Administration, Cellular Jail Complex, Port Bair giving details of the programme before 10th August 2013.
