Port Blair, July 21: The Central Agricultural Research Institute, Port Blair will be organizing the “Agribusiness Camp” at its Garacharma Complex on 27th July 2013 from 10.30 A.M onwards in collaboration with Zonal Technology Management Unit, NIRJAFT, Kolkata.
Shri Anand Prakash, I.A.S., Chief Secretary, A & N Administration will be the Chief Guest and inaugurate the function. Dr. S. Dam Roy, Director, CARI, will preside over the function and address the gatherings. Dr. A.N. Roy, CPI, ZTM-BPD Unit, Kolkata, will provide an overview of the Agribusiness camp and functions of Business Planning and Development Unit (East Zone).
The Agribusiness Camp will act as a platform wherein the technology provides/innovators, bankers and entrepreneurs will join together and discuss the possibilities for commercializing the agricultural technologies which will be beneficial to the needy farmers, entrepreneurs and the institutes. All the interested progressive farmers, entrepreneurs, bankers and others are requested to attend the camp and get the benefits. About 15 ICAR institutes of Eastern India will be participating and displaying their technologies in this event.
