Port Blair, July 24: Capt. Ashim Bhattacharjee Park at Junglighat constructed in the memory of Capt. Ashim Bhattacharjee who sacrificed his life for the country while fighting the insurgents in Jammu & Kashmir was completely destroyed by the devastating Tsunami of 2004. The Port Blair Municipal Council has reconstructed the park and the same is ready for use by the general public.
The park shall be inaugurated by Shri Kuldeep Rai Sharma, Chairman ANCOFED Ltd. on 25th July 2013 at 5.00 pm in the presence of Shri PB Murugan, Chairperson, Port Blair Municipal Council and Shri IP Singh, Jr. Vice Chairperson & Ward Councillor, PBMC.
