Port Blair, July 25: During the Population Stabilization fortnight held from 11th to 24th July 2013, sterilization camps organized at G.B. Pant Hospital, Port Blair, Diglipur, Mayabunder, Billiground & Rangat by the Directorate of Health Services, A&N Administration.
A total of 517 cases of female sterilization operations have been done out of which 35 cases were done at G.B. Pant Hospital, 255 cases at CHC Diglipur, 80 cases at Dr. R.P. Hospital Mayabunder, 60 cases at PHC Billiground and 87 cases at CHC Rangat.
The medical team consisted of Dr. M.K. Saha, Sr. Gynaecologist, Dr. Arun K Unnithan, Gynaecologist, Dr. A.L. Janardhan, Anaesthetist and supporting nursing and paramedical staff, a communication from Dr. H.M. Siddharaju, MPH (NIE), Deputy Director (FW & HE) said here.
