Port Blair, July 26: ‘Helen Keller special school and Salvation Fellowship Trust’ along with Giants Group of Chembur in association with Gram Panchayat, Garacharma-I will be organising a comprehensive eye check and education on eye care awareness programme.

The awareness programme is scheduled to be held at Neil Island, Community Hall/ Hospital on 27th July 2013 from 10.00AM to 1.00PM, at Havelock Community hall/ Hospital on 28th Jul 2013 between 10.00AM to 1.00PM and at GB Pant Auditorium on 29th July between 10.00AM to 1.00PM

The highlights of programme are:                Comprehensive Eye Check up.  Low Vision evaluation  Computer vision syndrome.  Cataract/Glaucoma evaluation.  Pediatric evaluation

Lectures will be delivered on the topics  General Eye care awareness,               Low vision/Blindness, Women and eye care, Eye Donation, Sports-indoor-badminton, Sign language for Hearing Impaired and on Vocational/ educational Rehabilitation on special cases.

The resource persons include: Dr.Yogita Rajgandhi M.D D.C.T D.MT C.C.M. , Optometrist and contact lens specialist, Consulting Naturopath. Jothi Ranjan Mishra B.P.Ed, Puri District Secretary-Badminton association, Council member for state Badminton Association, 13 times represented Orissa state for Nationals in Badminton. B. L. Deepakkumar, Advance trainer in computers for Blinds, Medical Transcriptionist, General Secretary, Helen Keller special school. Nitesh Sukhadev Maldhure, Physiotherapist cum Braille Instructor Member (Helen Keller special school) and Praasanjeet Muneshwar, Physiotherapist Member (Helen Keller special school).
