Port Blair, July 30: The Department of Agricultural Research and Education (DARE) and Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), New Delhi have become the first departments in the country to be awarded with ISO 9001: 2008 by Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) on 5th July 2013. The certification was given for implementing the Quality Management System in the organizations. This is as per the Result Framework Document (RFD) requirement by Performance Management Division, Cabinet Secretariat.
Shri S.K. Khanna, Deputy Director General, Bureau of Indian Standards, presented the certificate to Dr. S. Ayyappan, Secretary, DARE and DG, ICAR on 16th July, 2013.
