Port Blair, Aug. 1: A public meeting of Congress Party was organized at Neil Island at Neil Kendra under the leadership of the PCC President, Shri Kuldeep Rai Sharma on 31st July 2013. During the meeting the PCC President briefed the public about various welfare programmes of the UPA Government viz. Indira Awas Yojna, Janani Suraksha yojna, Mid-day Meal, NRHM, MGNAREGA, SSA etc . He has also spoke about the importance of Food Security Bill.
Sharma later briefed the gathering about the achievement of the Party in these islands. Apart from PCC Chief, RV Reddy, Sudhir Biswas, Sebastine Tirkey, Dilip Pradhan of Neil Island, Abala Samaddar, Samar Pal, Sanjiv Rangaia also spoke on the occasion. The meeting was attended by a huge gathering of the general public.
