Port Blair, Aug. 1: The Member of Parliament, Shri Bishnu Pada Ray has made a request to the Lt. Governor, A&N Islands to consider relaxation of age limit for appointment of teachers under Sarva Siksha Abhiyan. The MP noted that there are many unemployed teachers who have crossed the age limit of 30 years as prescribed for appointment under SSA.
The MP has also apprised the LG that the last date for applications for the post of teachers under the SSA has been kept at 5th Aug. 2013. In such a short span of time, it will not be possible for candidates to reach their applications especially those who reside at Southern Group of Islands i.e. Campbell Bay, Nancowrie etc.
