Port Blair, Aug. 4: The members of Vanvikas Employees Association and ANI Forest Corporation Union affiliated to INTUC and members of Vanvikas Officers Association of ANI Forest and Plantation Development Corporation held a meeting with the President INTUC  Kuldeep Rai Sharma on 2nd August, 2013 at Gandhi Bhavan and expressed their gratitude for his untiring efforts for the welfare of the employees of the Corporation.

At the outset, Lally Baby, Secretary of Vanvikas Employees Association recorded the pleasure of the members of the association as the PCC Chief has been able to get the long pending Cabinet note cleared by the Minister of State (Independent Charge) Environment and Forests Smti Jayanthi Natarajan.

Shri Haja Moideen, Assistant Engineer reminding the PCC Chief of the assurances given by the then Lt Governor that there will be no problem of disbursement of salaries and wages, stated that there remains no fund for disbursement of salary from this month. He requested Sharma to take up the issue with the Lt. Governor so that at least 5 crores may be sanctioned by him for the disbursement of salary, which can be adjusted from the loan assistance to be received from the Ministry of Environment and Forest.

Among the others who spoke were Shaukat Ali, Secretary, ANI Forest Corporation Employees Union, Probal Sengupta, senior most employee of the Corporation, Aboobacker, General Secretary, INTUC.

Sharma has assured to take up the issue of the cabinet note under circulation with the A&N Administration. The Vote of thanks was proposed by Naveen Kumar, Assistant Incharge of the Corporation.
