Port Blair, July 25: A Blood Donation Camp was organised by the Amar Rajeev Youth Club, Haddo (Ward No. 2) on 24th July 2013. The camp was inaugurated by the ANCC (I) President, Shri Kuldeep Rai Sharma, who appreciated the club for organising the camp. Among the other dignitaries present on the occasion were Shri PB Murugan, Chairperson, PBMC, Shri B. Hema Rao, Councillor and Shri Andan, President, City Congress Committee.

Port Blair, July 25: The Port Blair Municipal Council in its endeavour to extend services to the citizens of Port Blair has constructed a Multipurpose State in Ward No. 2 at Haddo. The stage was inaugurated by Shri Kuldeep Rai Sharma, Chairman ANCOFED Ltd. on 24th July 2013 at 6.00 pm in the presence of Shri PB Murugan, Chairperson PBMC, Shri B. Hema Rao, Ward Councillor and Shri J. Rajendran, Councillor.

Port Blair, July 24: The A&N Police today conducted raids at several spare parts shop across the city. The raid was conducted after BOSCH Company lodged a complaint that the spare parts dealers have been procuring and selling duplicate products, labelled in the name of the company.

According to sources, duplicate spare parts worth laks of Rupees have been seized.

SPTEEA Vows To Work Under the Guidance of Bishnu Pada Ray

Port Blair, July 24: The office bearers and members of State Part Time Education Employees have expressed that they were misguided by some bad elements for their political vendetta and were forced to work against the Member of Parliament.

In a communication received with signatures of 14 members of the State Part Time Education Employees Association (SPTEEA), the members expressed that due to disengagement from Education Department, they could not judge people and happened to associate with wrong people anticipating redrassal of their problems.

The members of the association have expressed their gratitude to the Member of Parliament, Shri Bishnu Pada Ray for his relentless and continued support to the members of the association, despite the fact that few members of the association worked against the MP and attempted to tarnish the image of the Member of Parliament.

The communication further said that the Association was inactive for quite some time and an attempt has been made to revive the Association to look into the welfare of the members and have unanimously decided to work only under the guidance of the Member of Parliament and the organisation they belong to.
