Port Blair, April 30: On 29th April 2013 at around 9.30 am, an unknown person visited the residence of Member of Parliament, Shri Bishnu Pada Ray, while he was in New Delhi. The man was entertained by the caretaker Ms. Maya Rani Roy, who alike other visitors made him to sit. Upon asking the reason for the visit, the man said that he does not have time for conversation but Bishnu Pada Ray had asked for 5 Kgs. of Venison which he had brought.

Upon this the caretaker Maya Rani called the Member of Parliament on his mobile and informed about this unknown person. The MP asked her to pass on the phone to him and blasted at him. Immediately the unknown person handed over the phone to the caretaker and left the house.

The Member of Parliament after having blasted the man, called up the Director General of Police at 9.38 am but he did not answer the call. The MP then called PS Aberdeen at 9.41 am and informed the matter, requesting for an investigation. According to a communication from MP Bhawan, the Police never carried any investigation. At around 9.45 pm, the MP again called the Director General of Police and requested him to intervene. Later at around 11.00 pm a police team was sent to the MP’s Residence to take the statement of the caretaker.

Bishnu Pada Ray, Member of Parliament suspects that it is a plot against him by the political parties which is supported by the few in the A&N Administration.

It is a unsuccessful plot to malign the image of the MP, while he is out of town, said a communication from Gandhi Bhawan. In this regard, a letter has been sent to the Lt. Governor, A&N Islands requesting him to order a proper investigation in the matter.
