Port Blair, Dec. 5: On 04th & 5th December 2023, A&N Police organized an in-house training program on Cyber Awareness, Investigation and various portals being used by the Andaman and Nicobar Police, in hybrid mode. Assistant Sub-Inspectors posted at different station/unit attended the above training program. The session covered a range of topics including online privacy, password security, online gambling, email frauds, child pornography, identity theft, fake dating apps, fake loan apps, social media safety, identifying phishing scams, safe online shopping, digital etiquette, and cyberbullying. Additionally, the program included investigation techniques related to financial fraud and social media complaints.

Port Blair, Dec. 5: The District Legal Services Authority, Andaman & Nicobar Islands will be holding National Lok Adalat in the District Court Complex at Port Blair and Sub-Divisional Court Complex at Mayabunder and Circuit Court at Diglipur on Dec. 9. Besides the compoundable nature of cases pending in different courts, disputes at the pre-litigation stage will also be entertained by the National Lok Adalat for disposal upon consensual settlement between the parties.

Port Blair, Dec. 5: The A&N Administration with the assistance of Staff Selection Commission, New Delhi and NIC, Port Blair has conducted Common Combined Higher Secondary Level Recruitment Examination (Tier-I) to fill-up 488 vacancies of various categories of post under different Departments of A & N Administration on 23.07.2023. As per vacancy notice, the concerned /Nodal Department conducted the Trade/Skills/Physical Endurance Tests for 723 candidates from 06/11/2023 to 10/11/2023 in different venue.

Port Blair, Dec. 5: A & N Administration had released a Press Release in the Daily Telegrams dated 22.11.2023 onwards regarding verification of documents/testimonials and to attend the Trade/Skill Tests for the vacancies for which the Written Examination was held on 09.07.2023 for the Common Category of Group C Matric Level posts of different departments under the A & N Administration. It has been noticed during the Trade/Skill Tests conducted for certain posts, the requisite number of candidates having the technical qualification prescribed in the Recruitment Rules for the posts were not found.
