Port Blair, Nov. 16: With a view to provide a forum for children to pursue their natural curiosity and inventiveness to quench their thirst for creativity, the Navy Children School, Port Blair conducted a Science and Art Exhibition  ‘Spectrum -2012’ on 16 Nov 12. The Exhibition was inaugurated by Mrs Rama Pillai, Vice President, Defence Wives Welfare Association (DWWA) Andaman & Nicobar Command. Approximately 800 parents, senior officers and students of NCS (Port Blair) witnessed the event.

During the exhibition, the participating students displayed their scientific and co- curricular talents through their models and exhibits. The exhibition provided an opportunity to all participating students, teachers and visitors to be acquainted with different kinds of equipment, devices and techniques. It enabled the students and teachers to generate scientific ideas for addressing various problems of the society and environment. The exhibition also created an awareness about environmental issues and concerns as also inspired children to devise innovative ideas towards their mitigation.
