Port Blair, May 17: South Andaman Police has registered a case of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act 1985 and arrested two persons and made recovery of 2.8 Kg of illicit Ganja.

On 16.05.2019, on receipt of credible information, a raiding team under the guidance of SHO Aberdeen, Insp. Sanjay Kumar comprising SI Surjit Bhattacharjee, ASI Sanjay Yadav, PCs Jayanta Kumar Biswas & S. Nanak Singh conducted raids near Airport and at Private Bus Stand, Aberdeen Bazar area and recovered 2.8 Kgs of ganja from the possession of two persons namely Tushar Biswas S/o Shri Tarak Biswas R/o Prem Nagar and Birendra Nath Sardar S/o Shri Jogen Sardar, 22 yrs R/o Prem Nagar. 

The entire operations took place under the close supervision of SDPO (SA) Shri Nishant Gupta under the guidance of Shri. Deepak Yadav, IPS, Superintendent of Police, South Andaman District.
