Port Blair, May 20: In order to promote and spread the activities, Kala Kendra – a society for promotion of Art and Culture in Andaman & Nicobar Islands organized a two days event from 17th – 18th May 2019 at Priyadarshani hall, Tamaloo, Car Nicobar. The programme began with a ''Photography Exhibition inaugurated by the Deputy Commissioner, Dr. Monica Priyadarshani as a chief guest Altogether 37 photographs were showcased during two days “Photography exhibition.
Further in commemoration of 150th Birthday anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi a video clipping titled "Vaishnava Jan” was screened at the Priyadarshani hall, Car Nicobar on 18th May 2019, which was followed by a cultural programme titled Sanskrithik sandhya. Shri. Rajeev Kumar, IPS, Superintendent of Police, Nicobar District was the Chief Guest on this occasion. A Police Entertainment team from Port Blair presented a number of melodious songs with dance to delight the gathering.
