Port Blair, July 18: On 17th July 2019, “Sadasyata Vistarak Varg” was organized by the Bharatiya Janata Party Unit of Andaman & Nicobar Islands, between 2.30 PM to 6 PM, at Khaitan Kalyanam Mandapam, Jungli Ghat, Port Blair. The Varg was organized for Port Blair City and South Andaman area and the same was basically organized for the purpose of highlighting various aspects of undertaking membership process by the Vistaraks of all Shakti Kendras. The National Secretary, BJP Shri. Tarun Chugh graced the occasion by addressing a large gathering and in his address he spoke about several ideological principles which the party follows due to which several leaders from various other parties are now eager to join BJP. He further discussed about the 5 Pledges which the BJP seeks from any new member while joining the party. Those five (5) pledges are as follows:-
1. I believe in Integral Humanism which is the basic philosophy of the Bharatiya Janata Party.
2. I am committed to Nationalism and National Integration, Democracy, Gandhian approach to socio-economic issues leading to the establishment of egalitarian society free from exploitation, Positive Secularism, (Sarva Dharma Sama Bhava) and value based politics.
3. I do not observe or recognize untouchability in any shape or form.
4. I am not a member of any other political party.
5. I undertake to abide by the Constitution, Rules and discipline of the party.
Shri. Vishal Jolly, State President, BJP, addressed the gathering by pointed out several issues regarding the manner in which the membership drive has to be undertaken and proceeded with. A time limit between 23rd July, 2019 to 29th July, 2019 has been fixed for the Vistaraks to meet the voters door to door by and address everyone about the prominent works and schemes done by the BJP-led Central Government. Shri. Ajay Bairagi, State Incharge, Sadasyata Abhiyaan, Co-Incharge Shri. K. Ram Das as well as Shri. Rajesh Pal Govind, Incharge Port Blair City Sadasyata Abhiyaan also spoke on the occasion.
Shri. Bishnu Pada Ray, Ex-Member of Parliament, all State, District, Mandal, Shakti Kendra Pramukhs, Sadasyata Committee members alongwith Booth level committee members attended as Special invitees. Similar programme was organized by the Sadasyata Abhiyaan Team on 18th July, 2019 at Rangat Zilla Parishad Community Hall for Rangat & Mayabunder area at 10.00 AM and thereafter at Radha Govind Temple Community Hall, Diglipur at 03.00 PM.
