Port Blair, Aug 13: Jashn - e - Aazadi, a musical programme on National Integration and Patriotism will be organised by Kala Kendra, Department of Arts & Culture in collaboration with Eastern Zonal Cultural Centre Kolkata under Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India, at Flag Point, South Point on August 14, 2019.

The artistes, all of national and international repute will perform with great zeal, passion and enthusiasm as part of Independence Day celebrations.

The programme will begin with the National Anthem, followed by Shri Sumit Roy’s exuberant style of enthralling the audience by presenting some old and new songs and poems on patriotism and independence, as well as few composed by him.

Other renowned artistes, who have performed globally will also perform along with him. They include Shri Gautam Chowdhury, most senior Keyboard Player in Kolkata and also a singer; Shri Suvankar Ghosh, one of the best Guitarist in Kolkata - very proficient in both Indian and Western music; Shri Timir Das, the most appreciated Octopad Player of Kolkata and Ms Ushasi Bhattacharjee, the best young talent of Kolkata, who has sung for movies CDs and many shows - a brilliant singer, both Indian and Western.

It will be an evening to remember. The Kala Kendra Society has invited the general public to witness the show at Flag Point from 6 pm to 7.30 pm which is being organized as part of pre Independence Day celebration.
