Port Blair, Oct. 11: 154 Infantry Battalion (Territorial Army) Bihar - ISLAND TERRIERS has been awarded with the Chief of Army Staff Championship Trophy of Best Territorial Army Battalion of Indian Army recently in an event at New Delhi. The trophy was presented by Lieutenant General MM Naravane PVSM AVSM SM VSM, Vice Chief of Army Staff and was received by Colonel Upjit Singh Randhawa, Commanding Officer of the 154 Infantry Battalion. The prestigious award encompasses all aspects involving operations, professional skills, administration, discipline and documentation as the competitive parameters. 

The “ISLAND TERRIERS” is located in Port Blair under Andaman and Nicobar Command (ANC). ISLAND TERRIERS, raised on the 10th of September 2001, has had the distinction of winning two Appreciations from Commander-in-Chief Andaman and Nicobar Command (CINCAN), one Chief of Naval Staff Commendation Card, three GOC-in-C Southern Command Commendation Cards and 89 CINCAN Commendation Cards within a span of 18 years of its raising.
