Express Dissatisfaction of Lukewarm Attitude of Education Department

Port Blair, Oct. 13: The Executive Committee meeting of South Andaman Teachers’ Branch of NGOs’ Association held at Port Blair on 12th October, 2019 expressed dissatisfaction  over the luke warm attitude of Education Department on various issues concerned with the teachers. The meeting also expressed grave concern over the undue delay in filling-up of a large number of vacant posts of Principal, Vice Principal, Headmaster and teachers. Various other pending issues like regularization of Ad-hoc services, timely promotion, Utilization of Teachers’ Welfare fund, timely settlement of Transfer TA and Medical claims, permission for acquiring higher education, etc. The meeting unanimously decided to organize territory-wide campaign and agitation to pursue the demands of teaching community. ShriT.S.Sreekumar, General Secretary and ShriS.L.Vinjit, Secretary, ShriDipakKarmakar, Shri HB Choudhary, ShriMaheshwarRao, Shri Kishore Kumar, Shri T Rama Rao, etc of SATB addressed the meeting. The meeting was chaired by Shri Suresh Singh.
