Port Blair, Oct. 13: On 12/10/2019, a written complaint was received at PS Aberdeen from Shri M. Shamsher Ali, Proprietor of Mars Auto Spare Parts, Phoenix Bay regarding theft of Rs. 25000/- cash by some unknown person by broking locks of his shop. Upon the complaint, a instant case was registered at PS Aberdeen under relevant section of IPC.

Immediately a team led by SI Jeevan, HC Sunil Singh, PCs Suresh Kumar & Vinod Linya was constituted under Inspector Sanjay Kumar, SHO PS Aberdeen. The team gathered information and suspect persons were interrogated and finally one accused namely G. Naresh S/o Shri. Shankar Rao, 32 yrs R/o Sisty Nagar confessed his guilt and stolen cash was recovered. Later, the accused was produced before the Hon’ble Court and sent to Judicial Custody Remand. The blind theft case was solved within 24 hours due to stringent efforts made by the team of South Andaman Police. 

The entire operation took place under SDPO, South Andaman and under the overall direction and supervision of Shri. Manoj C., IPS, Superintendent of Police, South Andaman District. The general public is requested to share information pertaining to any crime or other illegal activities to Police at 112, 03192-232100 & 03192-233077. The identity of the informant will be kept secret.
