Port Blair, Nov 7: The High Value Agriculture Development Agency (HVADA), Directorate of Agriculture is extending all efforts to commercialize Horticulture by promoting latest technologies to make agriculture a vibrant industry in these Islands.

Under the Integrated Post Harvest Management, during the year 2019-20, the National Horticulture Mission of MIDH is providing financial assistance for establishment of pack houses and refrigerated transport vehicles, which are entrepreneur driven through commercial ventures. The details are as below:

1. Components: Pack House

Pattern of Investment: 50% of the capital cost limited to Rs. 2.0 lakh per unit with size of 9Mx6M

2. Components: Refrigerated Transport Vehicle        

Pattern of Investment: Credit Linked Back Ended Subsidy @ 35% of the capital cost limited to Rs. 9.10 lakh for 9MT and prorata basis for lesser capacity but not below 4MT 

Interested farmers / Entrepreneurs / Co-operative Societies/ FPOs may apply for availing subsidy through Zonal Officers and contact the Assistant Director (Agri),  HVADA, Haddo, Port Blair for further details on working Days. Format for submission of application for the project based proposals shall be downloaded from www.nhm.nic.in.
