Port Blair, Nov 19: The members of ‘Pahal’ a forum for needy (Sewa Parmodharma) working with the agenda to serve the poor and needy person in the society has celebrated Children’s Day with the children of Sewa Niketan, Dairy Farm, on Sun 17th Nov.

A Health Camp was also organized for inmates at Sewa Niketan which was followed by a Cultural Programme. Dr K Rajesh, Ayurvedic Doctor, Shri Pawan Runthala, Opthalmologist and Dr Shanti Vijay Kumar, Dental Surgeon extended their support in the Health Camp.

The program started by lighting of Diya by Swami Shuddhannanda Saraswati, the Resident Acharya of Chinmaya Mission, Port Blair. The Swami along with all the Doctors and inmates of Ashram also offered flowers to the portrait of Bharat Mata.

The Cultural programme included Folk dance & Nukkad natak performed by inmates of Sewa Niketan, Bhajan by Gaytri Chetna Kendra,Haddo, Dance performances by Desi Kalakar Kendra (Yogi & Group) and songs by Shri Prabhakar, Shri Aman & Group which was highly appreciated and enjoyed by the inmates.

Addressing the gathering Shri. Hemant Kr Dhingra, founder member of "PAHAL" said that the agenda of Pahal is to cater the poor and needy people and hence, they will continue their work to facilitate the needy children as much as they can. We also require the support of the public to do so, he said.
