Police Station Aberdeen Adjudged as the Best Police Station in the Country

Port Blair, Dec. 6: The Police Station Aberdeen under South Andaman District has been adjudged as best Police Station in the entire country and its SHO Inspector Sanjay Kumar has been awarded with the trophy by the Hon’ble Home Minister of India, Shri. Amit Shah during the DPGs/IGPs conference-2019 held at the Indian Institute of Science Education & Research (IISER), Pune on 06/12/2019. The award is the result of continuous endeavour and planned efforts under the resolute leadership of the Director General of Police, Shri. Dependra Pathak, IPS.

The Police Station is one of the busiest station and continuously confronting various challenges associated therein. In spite of these challenges, the Police Station & its staff has been dedicating best of their services to the local populace. Various proactive actions and special community oriented policing efforts in addition to welfare measures for the staff by Police department for the last year in a planned approach has led to this award of being adjudged as best police station in India for 2019. This award is a matter of great pride for the entire Andaman & Nicobar Police and the citizens of these Islands. Sincere efforts were made by Inspector Sanjay Kumar, SHO PS Aberdeen and SDPO South Andaman under the overall supervision & guidance of Shri. Manoj C., IPS, Superintendent of Police, South Andaman District to achieve this feet.
