Port Blair, Jan 16: The State President, BJP, A&N Islands, Shri. Vishal Jolly in a letter to the Hon’ble Lt. Governor, A&N Islands has request to allocate the Sitanagar industrial Site specifically to registered Fishermen Cooperative Societies of these islands under LANIDS 2018 and provide financial assistance under Blue Revolution to setup Export Units as per MPEDA’s approved layout. Such focused action with target of developing 10-20 seafood export units every year will help the Dept. of A&N Fisheries to achieve positive results like fisherman to become an Exporter, developing Seafood Export Parks, generate employment in fisheries & its allied sectors and also bring inclusive socio-economic growth in A&N Islands.
He has also requested to enhancement of the Honorarium to the Guest Faculties to a maximum of Rs. 50,000/- per month as per UGC notice No. F.25-1/2018 (PS/MISC.) on dated 28th January, 2019. He also requested to treat the Resource Person equally to Contract faculty and provide them a consolidated salary.
The State President further requested to establish a professional college to motivate youths on self-employment through industrial reform and to bring inclusive growth in A&N Islands.
