C-17 Aircraft of A&N Command also brings essential items

Port Blair, March 31: The Air India Special Cargo Chartered Flight from Chennai with essential medical supplies for the A&N Islands arrived here today at Veer Savarkar International Airport. The A&N Administration has Chartered this flight in view of the outbreak of COVID-19 to transport 0.5 ton of Mask, 70 Kgs. of PPE (Kit), 20 Packets of Hollow Fibre Dialyzer, 3 tons of Sanitizers, 2.5 tons of Sodium Hypochlorite and 1 ton of Bleaching Powder. The Secretary, Disaster Management, A&N Administration informed that the CMO, GB Pant Hospital, Dr. Naveen Govind in-charge of medical store is coordinating the receiving of medical supplies which has arrived from Chennai. 

Apart from this, one C-17 Aircraft of A&N Command has also brought essential items from New Delhi. These include 3 lakhs 3-ply Masks, 90,000 Gloves, 15,000 Sanitizers and 5000 N-95 Mask.
