Port Blair, Sept. 7: The Lt Governor, Lt Gen (Retd) A. K. Singh, PVSM, AVSM, SM, VSM, based on inputs from various sources has directed the Chief Secretary and Secretary (Sports) to prepare an immediate action plan to revamp the Directorate of Sports in A&N Administration.

He has asked Chief Secretary to evaluate various appointments and assess their performances as well as look into the expenditure incurred in various schemes being implemented by the Sports Directorate. Secretary Sports has also been asked to draw-up the future roadmap for sports in the A&N Islands. A detailed briefing is to be made to the Lt Governor shortly.
