Eminent Citizens Complain of Dangerous Driving By Young Bikers

Port Blair, Sept. 10: A teen age boy named Mohammed Shahid was killed today in a road accident near Aiyanaar Temple, Govt. Press, Port Blair today. The accident took place today when Shahid along with his friend were on a bike (Hero Honda Splendour, Red Colour) when a Water Tanker of APWD (Regn. No. AN 01 C 0294) drove over him. While Shahid was crushed on the spot, leading to his death, his friend could escape unhurt.

Mohammed Shahid S/o Late Mohammed Razul was a student of Class IX of Govt. Model Sr. Sec. School and a resident of Civil Wireless Colony, Mazar Pahar, Port Blair. 

According to reports, the cause of the accident could not be confirmed yet and investigation by the Police is on.

Meanwhile, Police sources add that they have been receiving complaints from respected citizens regarding few young bikers riding dangerously on city roads. Based on the complaints, the Traffic Police was continuously on a look for the bikers. Sources further inform that the bike, which met with the accident today, was one among the noted bikes, the number of which was passed to the Police.
